Could be better but as a stand alone film it was awesome.

Movie: New in Town
Funny. I especially loved the bullseye episode. I’d recommend it ‘cuz it was funny. Real life and such.

It was different definitely. I just didn’t think it had as much depth as it could. I like the violence and etc. though.

Book: The Final Truth by Mariah Stewart
I recommend this mystery by Mariah Stewart with some reservations. It wasn't as suspenseful as her previous books, and I was able to determine who was responsible for the murders. The setting is in the beach area of the Outer Banks. The characters are familiar favorites. FBI agent: Mitch Peyton and crime journalist, Regan Landry. The plot consists of a convicted murderer set free due to DNA irregularities at a Lab and murders are committed with strong resemblance to the original heinous crime. In addition, Regan is still looking for answers pertaining to documents of E. Kroll. Although the book is titled " The Final Truth", I found the evidence pertaining to E. Kroll a distraction to the murders. It's not the worse mystery I have read, and it can be a summer read for those individuals who enjoy mysteries.

Book: Seducing and Angel by Mary Balogh
Highly recommend this Mary Balogh book about the last member of the Huxable family looking for love. The setting is : Regency England. The other Mary Balogh books involve the romances of the three sisters. This book involves the younger brother, Stephen Huxable, Lord Merton who unexpectedly finds love. Cassandra, Lady Paget a young widow who is in dire straits decides that she must seduce Stephen. However, Stephen has a mind of his own and decides that he wants Cass as a wife and not a mistress. Cassandra's reputation is checkered since she had to flee her home when faced with accusations of murdering her husband. But Stephen sees something in Cassandra beyond the facade. If you read the other books r egarding the Huxable family, this book definitely will keep your interest. The genre: is romance so if you enjoy romance novels, this book is for you.

Book: Serpent's Tooth by Faye Kellerman
Highly recommend this Peter Decker/Rina Lazarus mystery. Setting: a trendy LA restaurant is the place where numerous people were murdered or injured. Although the alleged triggerman is identified, Lt. Decker explores the possibility of a second gunman. The suspects include the wealthy and privileged members, Decker must investigate using all of his skills. Rina and members of his family assist him in this complex case. This book was suspenseful and I highly recommend that you read this book especially if you have read other Faye Kellerman mysteries.

Movie: G Force
G-Force is an amusing, entertaining film about a group of highly trained rodents who are involved in investigating a suspected criminal. Unfortunately, due to pressure by the FBI , they must leave their base and land up in a pet store full of surprises. The goal is to escape the pet store and get back to the business of getting evidence to convince the FBI that the threat to civilization is real. The movie even has an excellent car chase. Nicholas Cage is one of the voices of the rodents. This movie can be seen in 3-D as well as the 2-D format. Highly recommend this movie for the summer break!

Movie: Public Enemies
Strongly recommend seeing this movie. The setting is in Chicago during the 1930's. Johnny Depp is John Dillinger, the bank robber and Christian Bale is the FBI agent who pursues him relentlessly. The pursuit is a cat and mouse game and the stakes are high. Even though the movie is approximately 2.5 hours, it was fast moving and held my interest. There are many characteristics of John Dillinger such as the loyal friend, lover, and a man with a great sense of humor. Take a break and see this action-filled movie.
